Armed robbery off Greenville Avenue nets $300

Update @ 6pm - WFAA reports on similar robberies in / around Lowest Greenville






Two Lower Greenville patrons were robbed at gunpoint just after midnight Tuesday while walking to a parking lot on Bell Avenue.

According to the DPD reports, the couple was walking down the street when two suspects came up behind them, put a gun to the victim's head and demanded his wallet, then pushed him to the ground. The girl gave up her car keys, but the robbers fled on foot. Total take was less than $300 in cash and valuables.

There's no description of the perps, just a note regarding turquoise blue Ford vehicle (no model given) used as the getaway vehicle. Here are the police report summaries and links to the original report.

Susp/s robbed complainant at gun point on listed date at approx listed time

Complainant and witness were returning from bars on Greenville Avenue to their vehicle at listed location when they were approached from behind by suspects. Suspect 1 put a gun to complainant's head and demanded his wallet and pushed him to the ground. Suspect 2 took witness' purse (see 170431z) and car keys to her vehicle. (again, see 17031z).

Suspects took complainant's property after presenting gun on listed date at approx listed time

Complainant and witness were returning from bars on Greenville Avenue nearby to their vehicle at listed location when suspects approached from behind them. Suspect 1 put a gun in witness' face (see 170414z) and pushed him to the ground. At the same time Suspect 2 demanded and received complainant's purse. The presence of the firearm caused complainant to fear for her life. Both suspects then fled eastbound on Bell.
