Welcome to Resident Parking Only Zone #13

BD admits to being a little bit superstitious. But for now, 13 is our favorite lucky number - at least until 14 pops up.

The signs for Lower Greenville's newest Resident Parking Only Zone - #13 - were installed on Tuesday afternoon.

The zone covers the 5700 block of La Vista between Greenville and Matilda, intersecting 1900 Hope Street (which has been RPO since 2000).

The new RPO zone was combined with the existing zone on Hope Street, making it one of the most restrictive RPO intersections in Dallas - Tuesday and Wednesday 10 pm to 6 am, and Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 7pm to 6am (click here for map).

The RPO zone petition was submitted by the developers of Tempo La Vista and LGDev, who have built dozens of new homes along La Vista. BelmontNA provided logistical support services.

The expense for RPO - $336 for signs and $50 for the petition fee - was shared by Rivendell Development, LGDev, and BelmontNA.

Next week, BelmontNA will submit a petition for RPO on a street deeper in the neighborhood. That street should go RPO by the beginning of October 2007.

The property owners on two more streets are working to collect the signatures needed on the RPO petition. BelmontNA will pay all RPO expenses, using money from the Arcadia Fund.

Enforcement by the Dallas Police Department is effective immediately.
