Public safety issues in and around Lower Greenville

While you were partying, I was getting towed!

Last evening, a young couple ventured to Lower Greenville in search of fun, drinks and a good time.

Ever the gentleman - and cheapskate - he found a parking space on La Vista Court by the motorcycle shop, just steps away from the bars. Lots of lighting and valet drivers all around to watch his car.

Too bad our lovestruck-visitor did not have the sense to look at the street signs before he parked. If he had, he might not be wondering what happened to his car after he rounded the corner.

Here's the whole story, told from the perspective of his car, along with a video presentation.

Omigod, it's huge!

Ever since BD started posting his Worst of... Lower Greenville videos, he's been getting questions about his equipment - and motives.

If you have been reading this website on a regular basis, you already know the motive:

To show by well-documented examples how Lower Greenville is not the fun and wholesome entertainment district the scumbar owners say it is.

By extension, we illustrate very clearly why Resident Parking Only is so important for the protection of our residential properties.

Some scumbar owners have even suggested hiring someone to follow BD around so they can shoot him shooting them. That's the most intelligent thing these guys have said in years.

Dumb, drunk and on camera ... just another Saturday night on Lower Greenville

Since this is Labor Day weekend, the crowds on Lower Greenville were not so overwhelming.

The DPD reports-

Friday was warm with a light manageable crowd. We had few problems and arrested only one for Public Intoxication. There were no loud noise complaints and no serious offenses.

Saturday was warm with a large crowd. We had approximately five minor skirmishes one of those a fight with minor injuries. There was one loud noise complaint ... that resulted in a first warning for the year.

We arrested 15 persons for Public Intoxication. We had no serious offenses reported.

At least five vehicles were ticketed and/or towed off the new Resident Parking Only zones on 5600 Richmond and 5700 La Vista on Saturday evening.

BD was out on the streets early this morning, collecting more video for his Lower Greenville image library. It was an opportunity to capture life on the street, as it was happening, in real time.

Does BD sound Hollywood enough yet?

406 drunks on the street, knock one down, turn 'em around ... then post their names on the Internet

Effective June 20, 2013

This list is based on Dallas Police Department records at the time of the arrest and subsequent posting. We do not and will follow each case until it's conclusion - you were arrested, and that's all we care to post. If you decide that it's imperative to have your name removed from this list, such as for a security clearance, family matters or simply because you don't want your friends to know you were busted from being drunk, there is an option.

You can pay an administrative fee of $251 to have your name removed. In addition to having it deleted from this site (and only this site, not the whole Internet), you will recieve a signed affidavit from me (the publisher) confirming that your name was removed on such and such a date.

IMPORTANT - Removing your name from this site does not prevent the Dallas Police Department or any other agency from releasing this information again. In order to remove your name from official (read - government) records, you will need to hire an attorney to start a process called expunction. It ain't cheap but it can be done.

To start the process, send an email to the publisher at this link - We will reply promptly.

Last September, BD posted the names of nearly 1,000 persons arrested for Public Intoxication and other misdemeanor crimes on and around the Lower Greenville area (see One thousand drunks on the street and counting) between January 1, 2005 and August 26, 2006.

It's time to update the list by posting a list of all arrests in the area between September 1, 2006 and July 31, 2007. The list includes arrests between 7pm and 5am, prime partying hours no matter the day of the week.

The only difference between the two lists is location - this year's list is sorted by DPD Reporting Areas and not specific arrest locations.

Welcome to Resident Parking Only Zone #13

BD admits to being a little bit superstitious. But for now, 13 is our favorite lucky number - at least until 14 pops up.

The signs for Lower Greenville's newest Resident Parking Only Zone - #13 - were installed on Tuesday afternoon.

The zone covers the 5700 block of La Vista between Greenville and Matilda, intersecting 1900 Hope Street (which has been RPO since 2000).
