Augustus Belmont, Jr. called - he wants his neighborhood back

BD just returned from a quick trip to the horse racing tracks in Louisiana. But BD’s not a betting man, he was answering a mysterious letter, short and to the point -

Meet me at the track, behind the paddocks. We need to talk about my home on Lowest Greenville. - AB

The signature was covered in mud and smelled like horseshit. Hey, we needed an excuse for a road trip anyways.

Upon arrival, BD went to the paddocks (after asking what a paddock was) and found himself standing next to a rather large brown horse. Seeing no one around waiting for him, BD pulled up a stool and started checking his email on his smart phone. That’s when the horse started talking.

The Kingston 9-1-1 Carjacking Call

Allen Gwinn / Dallas.org

On February 26, Melissa Kingston, a Dallas attorney and wife of a Dallas City Council candidate, claimed she'd been the victim of a near-carjacking in the parking lot of Spec's Liquor Store at Walnut Hill and Central.

Dallas.Org has obtained a copy of the 9-1-1 call placed by Dallas City Council candidate Phillip Kingston reporting the crime.

According to the police report made by Melissa Kingston later that evening, she had stopped by the liquor store on the way home from work.

Kingston reported that she was sitting in her car, a black 2009 Porsche 911 with the convertible top down, at night in the parking lot of the liquor store when the attack happened. According to the National Weather Service, the temperature at the time was a chilly 48 degrees.

Kingston claimed to police that she ended up knocking the armed attacker to the ground "kicking the suspect repeatedly in the face and stomach."

Sandy Greyson told Walmart to take a hike; why didn't NSA Hunt do it too??

As if you needed it, here is another good reason for voting against Angela Hunt's handpicked crony Philip Kingston to replace her at City Hall in May.

In far North Dallas, Walmart wants to build another neighborhood store (though larger than the one on Greenville). This location and the one on Greenville have one thing in common - legally, they can both be built without any need to rezone.

From the Unfair Park Blog

Sandy Greyson: Walmart Taking Another Look at Plans For Coit/Arapaho Supercenter

Since news of Walmart's plan to build a scaled-down supercenter at the corner of Arapaho and Coit Road in Far North Dallas, neighborhood opposition has been building. The outcry was covered this weekend by Morning News and NBC 5, and the Change.org petition promising a boycott is at 2,300 and counting. Opponents now have a full-blown website and, coming soon, yard signs!

Momentum aside, stopping the store remains a long shot, particularly given that the 90,000-square-foot model the retailer has is within current zoning and therefore doesn't need City Council approval. But there remains at least a glimmer of hope.

Councilwoman Sandy Greyson met with Walmart representatives on Thursday and posted her notes from the meeting online.

In North Dallas, CM Sandy Greyson paid attention to her neighbors and told Walmart, Hey, can you spell Boycott???

On Lowest Greenville, CM Angela Hunt not only welcomed the store, but forced the Walmart people to meet and concede to neighborhood demands re trees and lights and landscaping, while denying the people who live close-in (living within 50 feet across the street) any part in the discussions about noise, trash and traffic (among others). Throw in power-hungry spouse Melissa "It's My Way Only" Kingston, and the only thing Walmart had to learn how to spell was F-U-C-K Lowest Greenville.

Hunt welcomed WalMart to the neighborhood. It does not fit her grand scheme of cool development, but she welcomed it anyway because it gave her cronies something cool to claim as a success.

Kingston says he admires Hunt. In fact, he invoked her name more than six times at the Park Cities Central Democrats forum on Saturday. Pull Hunt out of the picture, and you have a mama's boy running for an office on a campaign of lies and deceit.

Think about that when you go to vote in a few weeks.

The mama's boy can't ride his bike alone???

BD has wasted many a good electron decrying how City Council candidate Philip Kingston is a mama's boy who thinks the only way for him (or his wife) to win a fight is to sue just about anyone who gets in his way.

We can now add to that list - Does not get along well with others and Who's your mama??
