More cars bite the dust at Belmont/Matilda

Tell me if you have heard this one before.

There was another wreck at the Belmont / Matilda intersection this Saturday afternoon. Since BD was out of town, he has very little firsthand information about the incident. But Puppette #1 was able to get these great photographs just minutes after it happened.

Another neighbor told BD that the family in the SUV lives on the 5900 block of Belmont and offered to sign our petition to put a four-way stop at the corner. Oops.

I love the smell of pepper spray in the morning...

After eight months deep in the political trenches, BD is coming back up for air on Lower Greenville.

The scumbar owners were not very happy to see him out on the street last weekend.

That's okay: BD does not like being on the street at 2:15 AM., when the local gendarmes start shooting those cool pepperball guns to clear the streets of drunk patrons who just won't go home fast enough.

Car tears through wall of house at Belmont / Matilda

If you were sitting on the fence wondering if you should sign the petition to put an All-Way Stop Sign at the intersection of Belmont and Matilda Avenues, wonder no more.

At approximately 845pm Sunday evening, two vehicles collided at the intersection.

The first car, a Jeep, carrying two males, landed on its side in the middle of the intersection. The second, a Mitsubishi sedan carrying at least four male passengers, ran up the curb and slammed into the corner house in the Avalon development. The vehicle breached the brick wall and came to a stop about six feet into a video library.

Update on victim of Lush drunk driver attack

Earlier this month, BD posted a story about Lower Greenville resident Justin Leger, who was struck and nearly killed by a drunk patron leaving Lush after the Fat Tuesday celebration (he was captured a mile away).(Underage and drunk Lush patron slams pedestrian with truck, March 2)

Justin's friends have been blogging about his progress - or to be honest, the lack of any - while he is recovering at Baylor Medical Center Dallas. BD is posting a letter from Justin's family to his friends to this website.
